Happy [Chinese] New Year!

Get ready to ring in another new year! On February 10th the Chinese New Year arrives!

The Chinese zodiac (Shēngxiào ( 生肖)) is based on a twelve year birth cycle with 12 animals each representing one year in the cycle: rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse goat, monkey, rooster, dog and pig. 2013 rings in the Year of the Snake.

Each person is considered to have the characteristics of the animal they were born under.  What “animal” are you? (Lynn and I are Rooster and Dog)

This article provides a great explanation of each of the Chinese Zodiac animals and their traits: Chinese Astrology Animal Characteristics. (Don’t take it too personal.)
