New Initial Pendant With Loads of Style

We’ve just introduced a new initial pendant with simple clean lines and loads of style.  Each petite Two Initial Square Pierce Pendant is 1/2″ square with the background “pierced” (e.g. cut out) and your two initials set inside the square.

Two very different lettering styles are offered that create two very different looks. The Anna lettering style is very contemporary and a bit funky. The Lucca style is classic and elegant. You choose which style is your match.

The pendant is offered in your choice of our full range of precious metals – sterling silver, 10k yellow and white gold, 14k and 18k yellow, white and rose gold, palladium, and platinum.

The pendant looks great on either a small link chain or just a simple silk cord.

This is a piece that will always be in style and will quickly become a favorite.  I put mine on a month ago, and haven’t taken it off yet! A wonderful personalized jewlery gift for the special women in your life … including yourself!

Graduation Season

Graduation season is really a fun time for us. We get to create such a wide variety of pieces for people celebrating a major accomplishment. It’s a very happy time.

This season we’ve created pieces for grads from age 12 to 75 – and each one has a special and very different story. Most of the graduation jewelry pieces we created this season will be given as very personalized gifts to someone special, but there are a fair portion of grads who are celebrating by buying themselves their own “gift.” They’ve earned it!

I spoke with a grandmother who wanted a very special gift for her granddaughter who was adopted from China and was now graduating from high school. For her we created an elegant pendant with her last name translated into Chinese symbols. I think granddaughter is going to be pretty touched with such a truly personal gift.

We created a pendant with the graduation year in Roman Numerals for a woman who was finally finishing her Ph.D. after eight years of work.  She wanted a piece that would always remind her of her accomplishment but do it in a subtle way. Roman numerals are a wonderful may to mark life’s special moments in a very private manner.

A mother who was very proud of her teenage daughter’s grades asked us to create a script monogram ring to reward her performance.  She told us that nothing motivates her daughter like jewelry.  Who are we to disagree?

We literally have hundreds of these great little stories. We really feel lucky to share in those very special moments of our customers’ lives.

Double-Sided Personalized Pendants For Twice as Much Meaning

Our customers often are sources for great product ideas. One of those ideas that has really taken off is the double-sided pendant.

About a year ago we had a customer ask whether we could create a double-sided version of our 25mm Vertical Chinese Symbol pendant so that they could put one message on one side and a different message on the other.

We instantly had one of those “Why didn’t we think of that” moments. What a great idea. We made the double sided Chinese Symbol pendant for that customer and have been making quite a few ever since. The personalized pendants are completely reversible with the wearer deciding which side to wear facing out each time they put it on. Now that’s truly personalized jewelry.

We offer the double-sided version in almost all of our one-tone, solid pendants. What you decide to put on each side is up to you. You can choose Chinese Symbols, words, dates, names, or any combination of these.

The double-sided version of our pendants are only $50 more than the single-sided versions at any precious metal choice. If you’re interested, just give us a call (800.692.1950) or send us an email (info@sorellajewelry.com) and we’ll discuss your special design with you.

Chinese Symbols: Exotic & Meaningful

I love Chinese symbols in design. I love how they combine an exotic and attractive visual together with a very personal meaning.

When my sister, Lynn, and I started Sorella Jewelry Studio, I pushed to include Chinese symbol pendants and charms right from the beginning. I loved the idea of Chinese Symbols on jewelry and thought others might too.

I turned out to be so right (as I remind Lynn of regularly). Our Chinese Symbol line has turned into one of our top sellers. Because of their popularity, we’ve expanded the line with the addition of bracelets, rings, key rings, and additional pendant shapes.

While you can find Chinese Symbol jewelry many places, the symbols available are very limited and tend to be … well… boring. You know …. Happiness.  Long Life.  Love.  ….Yawn.

With our line we have nearly 300 words/phrases already translated into symbols and available to view on our website. Beyond those 300, we can have just about any word, name or phrase translated by our Taiwan-based translator.

Our customers create a piece of jewelry that has very special meaning – from romantic, to inspirational, to remembrance, to quirky and fun.  These pieces are visually attractive all on their own, without even knowing the meaning.  It’s your choice whether to share the meaning or keep it totally private.

As a co-owner of a Jewelry Studio, I obvioulsy own a lot of jewelry. More often than not, however, what is around my neck is a Sorella 25mm Vertical Chinese Symbol Pendant with the two symbols for “Journey.”  It’s a wonderful reminder to enjoy every day.

A Gift of Family For Grandmothers

Looking for a creative gift for that special grandmother? Consider a charm bracelet with a personalized charm for each grandchild or family member.

Each charm can be personalized with the name, birthstone, or monogram of each family member. This makes a truly one-of-a-kind gift that any grandmother would treasure. She’ll have her family with her always.

We made one of these family bracelets recently for several siblings to give to their grandmother. They wanted a very special piece of personalized jewelry for a special lady. It held eight name charms, one  for each grandchild, placed on the bracelet in birth order.

Their grandmother liked it so much that they haven’t seen it off her hand since.
